My name is Sheyla. I’m an adolescent/young adult cancer survivor. In my blog, The Terminally Illest, I share my experience with cancer from the adolescent and young adult perspective. What sets AYA apart from pediatric or adult oncology is that we range from 15-39 years old, which identifies multiple focal points tailored to our age groups: mental health resources, fertility, managing long-term side effects with survivorship care, and financial toxicity to name a few. I plan to use my blog as a resource for patients, survivors, and even caregivers to find solace in knowing they’re not alone in their experiences while providing access to reputable resources.
Feel free to explore, and don’t hesitate to contact me! I’m an email away, always, enjoying cancer memes and hanging out with my family.
